Moving Forward Together: Next Steps in the Pemberton Woods Campus Renewal

The GNS Pemberton Woods Campus Renewal continues to move forward through the City of Victoria’s Rezoning Application process. Official signage will go up around the perimeter of the Pemberton Woods Campus, before the end of March, 2026.
The city requires all applicants to place this signage on their property at least 10 days before appearing before the Committee of the Whole. We anticipate our Committee of the Whole meeting will take place this spring.
This next step follows a positive review of the application by the City's Advisory Design Panel in November, 2025, and two detailed resubmissions in response to technical feedback from Victoria City Staff, finalizing details such as road improvements along campus edges.
Envisioned by the Community, for the Community
We are deeply grateful for the community input and conversations we've shared with many of you since we began this process - faculty, staff, alumni, parents, students and neighbours. Many of your comments have been directly included in this plan - one that will not only set the school up for modern education, but will also allow it to better serve the community.
Building for the Future of Education and Community
The renewed campus will embody what the future of education requires: flexible, collaborative spaces, integrated wellness and athletics, accessible design and genuine connection with the community. For students and teachers, it means facilities designed for how learning happens in the next generation. For neighbours, it means a campus that's open, green and genuinely part of the neighbourhood. Pick up and drop offs move to one central ‘front door’ on Richmond Avenue, and the campus will be home to increased onsite parking. For all of us, it means a place that has evolved thoughtfully, built together.
